Try Immuno slides that are positively charged like Probe-On from Fisher
and allow your slides to air dry at room temp until any tissue turns
white before putiing them into the drying oven.  Also when you stain, be
gentle with your nail slides don't jostle them up and down roughly from
solution to solution.  Just my two cents worth, which doesn't always work
for us either.  Hope this helps!
