Shirley,

Oh sure.........bring up that damn TV show. :) I still get a queasy
stomach when I think about it. No rehearsal, no script, no retakes, was
sweating like hell after setting up the studio, had a mic cord strung down
inside my pants by a guy at the station that was hitting on me, which I
dragged from area to area, and the PBS Director yelling at me cause I
couldn't even remember my name! Even had to fill about 8 minutes at the
end, impromptu, cause the PBS staff rushed me thru it with all their damn TV
signals. Johnny Carson couldn't have handled it!

If you recall, my vest had a button undone, my head was sweating, the foot
was wiggling, had a couple other twitches and my throat was dry. Had
nightmares for a month afterwards and then it aired at the banquet, Lee
dismissed everyone early so they could go to their rooms and watch. The
laughter up and down the hotel halls caused my hair to turn gray! Man, it
was all I could muster to face you all afterwards. Heheheeh I think I must
have used the term "keeping abreast of things" 20 times, the funny thing is
we had used a resected breast as the specimen to follow thru the processing.
I told Bertie to put the copy under lock and key in the NSH Central Office
but somehow Ken Urban got a copy and used it for training the sales staff at
Surgipath. Wonder how much he paid her. I have a copy that I have shown my
staff every five years just to have a good laugh. They did!!

Want to see it in Milwaukee? I'll charge admission to pay for all the Jack
Daniels it has caused me to devour since 1976. *Grin*

Mr. Luna, if that is the case, Don is right, the name brings back great
memories
of the beginning of Histology emerging out of the basement and into the
paramedical field. Lee Luna was all he said and more. I hope you are
successful with the exam and Don is right also about keep trying. You only
fail
when you quit trying. If you need help we are here, just ask.

But No Don, Not everyone will excuse and look over your old fartness. The

I too have been told I have reached the age where I do not have to accept
everything thrown my way, so they can smile and say OK she is old, let's
overlook it. :) :) And of course there is road rage.
