Noreen,
I agree with Tim we ship all over and all of our Technical Sheets and MSDS
recommend checking with local i.e.; townships, counties, states and the Feds
for disposal. We can't keep up with all of them and don't list them the way
I did. However, sometimes even a township will have a rule no one else has
ever heard of. Check carefully the fines can be very high. We have
everything picked up and hauled away by licensed disposal companies and we
still have to have a regulatory check internally of how all wastes is
handled.

They sure do. You need to talk to your waste water treatment plant about
drain disposal, and your solid waste officals about everything else. Check
City, county, state offices. You should have a waste disposal expert at your
institution.

<Do you have an official 'regulation" or law that you can specify?>

Yes, but you will have to check your local regulations. Don't assume other
localities will have the same regulations as yours. Most are based on US EPA
and DOT regulations, however.

Citrus PunchHi again everyone. Thanks to all of you who responded to my last
request for information. You all have been an enormous help to me. Now I
have another request:

Does the city/state/county in which you practice have any specific
requirements as to the disposal of xylene, alcohol, and formalin? Do you
have an official 'regulation" or law that you can specify?

I'm doing some research on this and your help is greatly appreciated.

TIA
Noreen
