I seem to remember that John Kiernan posted that some months ago.
Perhaps you could repost it John.
I recall he said that ammonium hydroxide neutralised formaldehyde and formed
ammonium formate in the process, and that it was quite fast. However, I am
going by recall not written information so can't swear to it.
