We purchased a HISTOVAC System through Columbia Diagnostics, Inc.  The
system is manufactured by Marmed Inc. Cleveland Ohio  It works wonderfully
and the debris is collected in a disposable wand which is disconnected, the
two ends are placed together and disposed in the biohazard waste.  There are
two filters in the system to increase safety.  There are also
mini-attachments to get into small spaces.  We use a second vacuum in the
paraffin microtomy area to vacuum up the paraffin shavings.  Very easy!
