In reply about the safety questions--
1.  No, we so not use bunsen burners for our forceps heating.  We use a bacti-incinerator.

2.  Yes, we do have an embedding center.  The forceps holes are not hot enough.
3. We don't do a Perl's stain.
4. We buy a purchased hematoxylin (Harris) from Surgipath but lately it is not as strong.
I think they must have  a new formula with the mercuric oxide in it.  Have to cll them
though to make sure of the difference.
