Jennifer,
I use the Crystalmount just as I would use any aqueous mounting media.  I
place it on the slide, then place a coverslip over it.  I know the
directions that come with the Crystalmount say do not coverslip, but it has
not affected anything.  Just make sure you have enough Crystalmount so when
the water evaporates, it does not leave bubbles. Good luck.
