destaining a silver stain and nova Red

Hi, 
    Just two questions for ya'll :  Is this nova Red chromagen permanent like 
DAB or will it fade over time and do any of you know if its possible to 
remove silver from tissue ( steiners) and then do it again or stain some 
other way?
