Hello-
We're currently evaluating a redesign of our neuropathology laboratory and
one of the issues that has come up is the handling of Creutzfeldt-Jakob
disease (CJD) cases. I'd really appreciate any input regarding how other
labs handle these cases (related to the physical laboratory facility). I'm
specifically interested in where & how techs are processing & cutting the
cases. Confined spaces, containment chambers, separate room with or w/out
ante rooms, within the routine lab?
Any references, sources, or contacts would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help.
