Hi Louise
Not the easiest antibody I have worked with, but Zymed gave excellent
results (cat 13-1700).
I used gastric mucosa as a positive/negative control and the staining
pattern is very distinctive.
There is a Ref: Antigen retrieval solution recommended in Shi SR et al 1996
Biotechnic and Histochem v71:4 190-196.
Do not use picric acid to try to remove formalin pigment as I did, as the
background staining became intense! The tissue was fixed (a long time ago)
in unbuffered formalin. I have removed formalin pigment with other
antibodies with no problems.
Any other questions, feel free to contact me.
Maree Gould.
