Growing up in the city, we did not have any space to play baseball so
stickball was the norm. We used a small rubber ball, about the size of a
tennis ball, that was cut in half. Not only a skill to hit but to learn
to throw as well. Thanks for bringing back the memory!

      Baseball is evolved from the American Indian game of "stickball".
It is truly an American game w/o origins from other sports.
