Yes, BUT they probably will have poor staining quality and may fall off the
slide.  Microtomed MMA sections are commonly deplasticized with 60C warmed
xylene several changes about 15 min each X 3 changes, but these are THIN,
3um to 5 um  sections.  Neil Hand (Theory and Practical Histological
Techniques, Gamble and Bancroft, 5th edition) does this on thin MMA
sections destined for immunostaining/other routine staining. Thicker ground
sections do not do well for IHC/routine staining. 

Anything thicker than 10 um or yours at 50um are better surfaced stained
while left on the glass slide.  Time for MMA removal may be greatly
lenthened by sections thickness and you may never get all the plastic out.
