RE: LIS IHC information detail?

From:"Horn, Hazel V"

Our DAKO autostainer stores all of this information for us. Lot numbers,
case numbers, controls, pretreatments, dilutions if there are any, detection
system....etc. It's wonderful. It even keeps the cleaning record so
we don't have to remember to log it.

Subject: LIS IHC information detail?

I am wondering how much information about IHC testing the various LIS
databases hold.

1)What LIS do you use?

2) Does yours hold just test/result or does it hold actual protocol
information (ie, slide pretreatment, antibody dilution, antibody lot number,
detection system, resulty and intensity)?

3) At what detail level can you keep track of information - case, block ,
slide?

4) If you can't keep that info in the LIS, how do you keep track of it -
notebook, spreadsheet, separate database, automated stainer records?

thanks
