RE: Cassette/Slide Markers

From:"Cornett, Lorraine D"

We have had the same things happening in our lab. I recently made a purchase of Tissue Dye from a company called Cancer Diagnostics Inc. and they sent me a sample pen, I have used it for almost a week, it is bright and vibrant even after processing and embedding. I have not checked into the pricing for it yet, but you can find the company on the web. I am definitely going to be getting in touch with them for more information about their pens!

I have been having a very hard time using the Secureline Markers from
Allegiance. They were so dependable for years, never smeared and didn't come
off the cassettes after processing. Now, we are having a big problem. The
numbers are so light after processing that it has become a whole new job
rewriting the cassettes. I ordered markers from Richard Allen but they seem
the same, they just have their name on the side. I spoke to the Fisher Rep
and all he came up with was Secureline again.

Do any of you use a different type marker? Are any of you experiencing what
I am with the Secureline markers?

	I would appreciate any comments.
	Thanks so much,
