Hi there,

has anyone used the zinc salt fixative (NOT the zinc formalin fixative) to perfuse with? If so, could someone please tell me what buffer they used to clear the animal with prior to passing the fixative around? Usually I would use a phosphate buffer, however, this causes a precipitate to form in the fixative (which I am sure is not good for morphology).

Also, I have read where this fixative is best used on thin slices of tissue (rather than whole organs). Has anyone had any experience using this fixative on adult mouse brains? How long should I fix and post-fix for?
