SUMMARY

The Field Applications Specialist serves as a critical
liaison between our fielded customer base and the
ChromaVision organization (operations, development,
science, marketing, and sales), prompting appropriate
action to ensure customer satisfaction with our
company and products.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITES

    * Provide support to commercial customers in the
use of ChromaVision products
    * Provide customers with training on ACIS system
and applications
    * Assist development staff with optimization of
customer applications (when needed)
    * Support customers with system troubleshooting
and problem resolution

Support sales activities: demos, pre-sale evaluations,
customer visits, local tradeshows, sales training,
etc.

    * Manage Beta Sites
    * Provide training on ACIS system and applications
    * Monitor all site activities to ensure timely
completion of study
    * Monitor, collect and summarize study data
    * Support sites with system troubleshooting and
problem resolution
    * Provide feedback on product performance and
recommendations for improvements

    * Assist in the development of sales support
materials: reference publications, method comparisons,
technology descriptions, etc.
    * Assist in the development of customer support
materials: newsletters, updating web site information
for technical services, updated training materials,
etc.
    * Assist in the review and editing of technical
documents and manuals directed at the customer: ACIS
Operator's Manual, Applications Protocols, etc
    * Assist Sales, Development and Marketing in the
creation of new or custom application specifications
for the ACIS system.
    * Provide input to Marketing regarding potential
new application opportunities for ChromaVision.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - N/A

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    * Minimum of eight years experience with
laboratory diagnostic products in a technical
capacity: technical or sales support, R&D, QC or a
clinical laboratory environment
    * Experience in the development and implementation
of technical or product training courses
    * Experience with IHC,(F)ISH, and cytochemistry
methods and sample preparation is an advantage
    * Experience with diagnostic assays pertaining to
cancer or infectious disease is an advantage
    * Experience with imaging technology or flow
cytometry is an advantage
    * Ability to design studies, interpret data and
prepare summary reports that assess assay or product
performance: e.g., sensitivity, accuracy,
reproducibility, workflow, etc.
    * Excellent customer interface skills
    * Excellent technical writing skills, verbal
communication, and presentation skills
    * Good/excellent computer skills - MS applications

    EDUCATION

    Undergraduate degree in biology, immunology, or
Medical Technology

    TRAVEL

    Approximately 75% or three weeks/month

    One position in the Northeast US (New
England-Eastern NY)
