Re: Ki-67 in mice

From:"Andi Kappeler" (by way of Histonet)

Dear Reinhard
For mice you might want to try clone TEC-3, a rat-a-mo Ki-67 mAb available
from DakoCytomation (M 7249). Works nicely on formalin-fixed cryostat
sections. Haven't tried it on FFPE yet, but according to the manufacturer it
should work (after HIER). Make sure to use a secondary that has been
absorbed with mo Ig (like Dako E 0468). For rats there is clone MIB-5
(mo-a-hu Ki-67) which should cross-react with rat Ki-67. We've played around
with it a couple of years ago, however we were never really happy. May be
there is a better alternative available now - and there is always BrdU. Good
luck!
Best regards
