May I add something to your comments? I have used an anti mouse Alexa 488
and found it to be excellent! It is very bright and it has excellent
photostability. I am a great fan of the Alexa conjugates.

Molecular Probes also has fluorescent antibodies, but not used them but
these are labeled with the elegant and wonderful Alexa flourochromes (Alexa

clean, and much brighter than FITC or TRITC).
