We currently have a position open for a Product Specialist here in
Pittsburgh at Thermo Electron/ Anatomical Pathology ( formerly known as
Thermo Shandon). I am posting this for our company.
The responsibilities of the position are primarily:

   *Technical support of the Thermo Electron Anatomical Pathology product
line, including direct interaction with internal
     and external customers
   *Development of technical literature, monographs and technical briefs
   *Development and execution of training programs for key products
   *Direct involvement in the development of new products, including market
research, user roundtables and focused site
     visits

The qualifications for the position are:

   *Strong background in anatomical pathology and histology (BS degree and
professional certification strongly
     preferred). with a career history in larger clinical settings and some
supervisory experience
   *Strong work ethic
   *Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, with the ability to
tailor complex technical messages for different
    audiences and to be persuasive in selling ideas and getting support
   *Ability to work well with people, to have a positive attitude and
demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in
    challenging situations

The position has a limited amount (approximately 20%) of domestic travel,
including overnights.
