Hi,
    I disagree the this is a common laboratory problem. A researcher that is
too big for his britches is more common than it should be. Lab problems is
one of the things the histonet was set up for. As long as it doesn't turn
into a researcher bashing thread and sticks to a what would you do question.
It is certainly not inappropriate in my humble opinion (IMHO).
So don't beat yourself up over it,
