Good advice.  

If a concentrated Clorox soak doesn't work or a good lab detergent soak, ie
7X from Pierce via Fisher is another one we would have to resort to acid
washes.  

We used to keep a bottle of 50% nitric acid, then poured waste back into
its bottle for reuse, took a while before diluted HNO3 was depleted.
