RE: Spray Fixative for Cell preps

From:Sue Barnes

In the good old days, hairspray didn't have any of the additives that it has
now. Aquanet was mostly alcohol, that is why it was good for cytology
spray.
Cytology fixative can be purchased from any of the scientific companies
(fisher, alligence, richard allan etc) It has many names, cyto fix, spray
fix, etc. Cytology preps can also be fixed in alcohol and kept wet.
