Lots of people< not just retired techs, collect old/antique lab instruments
so I am sure it is worth something. Go to EBay and search for "microtome" to
find out what they are going for. Also, there are occasional scientific
equipment "fairs" (swap meets) although I am not sure where one finds out about
these.
