It was a rude awakening for me when I moved here to California after working
as a Medical Technologist in Canada for 10 years.  Although a general
technologist, my "specialty" was histology so I very disappointed to find
the differences here in wages between a Medical Technologist and a
Histotech. Still haven't recovered :)
