That is a really good question. Print your protocols for each stain and
antibody and see if heat is employed in any of the steps. I would think that
you could use the reagents following the time used on the printed protocols.
Of course you would have to document the amount of reagent drops you used
because the machine will not have that amount recorded as it does
automatically when you do the test by machine. I have counterstained this
way--when the machine gliched at the end of a run and it worked out nicely.
Your Her2 neu are another thing---they may have to be done by machine only
since they are so touchy---Hope this helps, Call me anytime if I can help. We
