Re: Why do I enjoy being Biomedical Histopathologist Scientist

Dear Histonetters!
My wife, Larisa, an histopathologist, would like to say some words in a favor
of her favorite science, hysopathology
Hi all!
Hystopathology is a fascinating field of research which accumulate knowledge
from all fields of biology and medicine. Take a look to discoveries of most
distinguishing scientist whose glory brought them Nobel Prize in Medicine and
Physilology. Last year: Arvid Carlsson, Paul Greengard, and Eric Kandel
received that most prestigious award for their discoveries concerning signal
transduction in the nervous system. Could you even imagine how these
explorations would be performed without histological techniques? 1999: Gunter
Blobel got the Nobel for the discovery that proteins have intrinsic signals
that govern theit transport and localization in the cell. Take to
consideration, please, the CELL, main point for application absolutely all
biological processes. Remember Virkhhov! 1998: the prize was awarded to Robert
Furchgott, Louis Ignarro, and Ferid Murad for their research concerning nitic
oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system. If these prominent
scientists didn't studied different blood vessels and heart muscules in many
ways, including histologically whether they would to have such terrific results
which led them to the Nobel?
Let this short listing serve young BS and even MS graduates for their endeavour
to became a great histopathologist!
