Not sure.  I have used Proteinase K (DAKO) for 5 mins at room temperature 
followed by a 10 min Tris buffer bath and the antibody works fine.  What I 
would be questioning is why are you using Von Willebrand Factor, when there 
is CD 31 and CD 34 antibody (DAKO).
