Re: Tissue for registry

1. Contact the president of the state society:

North Carolina Society of Histopathology Technologists
    Elizabeth Sheppard, President
    336-716-2644
    Email: sheppard@wfubmc.edu

To obtain information about the president of any
state histology society (in case anyone wants to
join their state society, find help, go to meetings,
etc.), go to the National Society for Histotechnology
home page at

http://www.nsh.org

And click on State Societies.

2. Go to your medical library. Ask for a book by
the American Hospital Association (AHA) that lists
all hospitals in the US by state. (Sorry, I'm at home,
and don't remember the name of the book.) It will
be in the Reference Section of the library. It is
published every year.

Go to the North Carolina section, and look up
the names, addresses and phone numbers of
hospitals in your area. Call each hospital, and
ask to talk with the supervisor of histology.

Good luck with your registry exam.
