RE: Bouins and immunos
Bouins fixed tissue is good for some antibodies and for those it is good for
you may not need any antigen retrieval at all. Of course, it is not good for
other antibodies, so you may be out of luck!

Subject: Bouins and immunos
Hi,
Has anyone been able to do immunos with Bouins fixed tissue?
I have tried with two antibodies against Androgen Receptor and inhibin
and both don't work, at least not for me. (EDTA and Citrate antigen
retrieval, trypsin and Prot K digestion were tried)
I am trying to convince the boss that Formalin fixation is probably an
answer but in the meantime there is still alot of tissue samples fixed in
Bouins so......maybe someone knows something to try with Bouins that I
didn't.. (I looked in the archives but it only mentioned in situ and
Bouins,
specifically).
Thanks for any help,
Elizabeth
