A mini survey histonetters:

Do you soak any/all FFPE tissues in dilute NaOH solutions prior to
sectioning in order to facilitate sectioning?

How long?

Only specific tissues?

What strength of NaOH?

We stopped doing this several years ago due to possible problems with
immunohistochemical staining.  Do any of you "soakers" notice problems in
your IHC staining?
