Hi All,
    I am currently using osmium tetroxide to reduce autofluorescence.  I
have had luck using fast red but am still struggling using fluorescent
probes.  The osmium seems to be quenching the fluorescent probe signal
as well.  I think Dr. Kiernans suggestion of rinsing overnight should
help alot.  I have only been rinsing for 30 min.  What am I actually
rinsing away?  Is is free osmium tetroxide or am I hydrolyzing the
cyclic osmic ester?  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I have been
struggling with this problem for awhile.
