I am intermittently getting blue crystals forming on my frozen muscle
sections in the combined COX/SDH histochemical method (in that order).   I
have tried   a) thorough washing in distilled water after SDH       b)
fixing in 10% formalin after SDH    c) ensuring pristine clean glassware
d) reducing the number of sections in the coplin jar

These crystals do not form in the SDH method done on its own.

Can anyone offer a remedy, please?
