I realise you specified "routine"... but I do it both ways. Many times I
have had a recut request while cutting sections for IHC. I just put the
recut on a charged slide (Surgipath Snowcoat Xtra) and never have any
problems with them falling off. I use charged slides for all my brain
sections because they stay attached better than with gelatin & plain slides.
