There can't be a "someone's" recipe for a named mixture.
According to Lillie & Fullmer (1976) p.52-53, B5 fixative is:
Water 90 ml
Mercuric chloride 6 g
Sodium acetate (anhydrous) 1.25 g
Formalin 10 ml.
(Filter if not clear. Fix for 12-24 hours.)
Does anyone know the original reference for "B5" ?
Why doesn't it have someone's name ?
