Pancreas sectioning

From:"Kinsley, David" <david.kinsley@spcorp.com>

Hi Everyone,

I have been doing a lot of work with paraffin sections of mouse pancreas.
In my past experience pancreas has always been difficult to achieve even
staining throughout due to the multilobular nature of the tissue. Some
areas seem to soak up water faster than others. If I soak too long I have
many areas which have discoloration due to water absorption. If I soak too
short I have areas of chatter due to dryness. Does anyone have any tips for
tissue collection, processing, that can help improve these type of sections.
The sections I have been obtaining are not very bad, just my boss is very
perfectionistic and wants every section on evrery slide to be photograph
quality every time.

Any assistance is appreciated.

thanks in advance
