Thank you for all the replies, I obviously did not
make it clear that I am fully conversant with the
standardised use of the stain and have been asked to
explore the possibility of using it to demonstrate and
quantify lipids in atherosclerotic plaques in mouse
aorta immediately following dissection without
freezing or fixing the tissue. 
Many thanks for your help, i will be trying this out
today so watch this space!
