Histology Supervisor:

The primary responsibility of this position will be to
provide supervisory and technical support to the
histology group within the Health Monitoring
Department. Additional duties will include overseeing
the daily operations of the laboratory, personnel
development, the development of new techniques,
revising, writing and updating SOPs, development of a
training manual, conducting training, as well as
participating in daily duties of tissue trimming,
processing and embedding, cutting paraffin blocks,
routine and special staining. Technologists within the
histology lab will directly report to this position.
This position will report to the Associate Director of
Pathology. 
The ideal candidate will possess good written, oral
and interpersonal skills. Bacheloris degree in a
related field with two to four years of technical and
administrative experience or five to seven yearsi
bench-level experience in histotechnology or
equivalent combination of both education and
experience required. Advanced Certification in
Hisotechnology or knowledge of specialized
histotechnological techniques a plus. 

The salary range is 35 to 45k, local candidates.  No
relocation assistance available.  Position is in
Cambridge, MASS.
