I am in need of statistics to help justify our request for another
technician. I need to know workload statistics (number of blocks, cases etc.)
and number of technicians (or fte's) available. Our lab averages at least 200
blocks per day. We have 3 techs and 1 lab assistant for non-tech duties. We
also do cytology preparations (about 1000 fine needle cases per year, and
about the same amount of non-gyn cytology cases). Any information would be
extremely helpful.
