For drying your H&E slides a way you might consider is to use CureMount a UV
curable mounting medium Instrumedics recently launched. Not only do your
slides dry in 20sec, but the refractive index of the cured CureMount matches
the tissue perfectly. Viewing the section in the microscope is remarkable.
