Good morning Histonetters:
Anyone out there in Histoland successfully producing sections of cardiac
artery containing metal stents? I have had some moderate success on past
samples, but the most recent specimens have me frustrated. The researchers
want to be able to do histomorphometric measurements on the stained sections
and I can't seem to get the intima's to lay flat without folds and wrinkles.
The specimens are embedded in PMMA and cut on a Jung Model K microtome with a
carbide tungsten blade. I'm sure there are some "tricks" involved...any
suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!
