We currently make three H&E slides on sentinal nodes, and then wasteful or
not, on breast cases we automatically do a keratin stain and on parathyroid
cases an S100. This may be unnessessary staining but our pathologists prefer
to have this stain along with the case when they sit down to read it. We
dont cut additional slides unless they need other staining.
