Bert is correct, but remove the iodine also. Iodine can leave a brown
stain.  Put 5 - 10% sodium thiosulfate on after the iodine.  Shades of
doing a mercury pigment removal!!  Took the stains out of a favorite blouse
sleeve long time ago without a GE washer, remember the "more progress
through chemistry slogan".  Hmmm--- was that GE??
