Dear Wayne,
Depending on the preference of the pathologist or cytotech, you can run
an H&E using the same protocol you use for frozen sections or a "rapid"
PAP stain with the stain times reduced. I'd be happy to fax or e-mail a
copy of our protocol if you like. We do this on smears made from the
FNA aspirate, not on core biopsies.
