we use a quick pap stain that was presented at the ASC meeting in 1994.

1. Air dry slide
2. Rehydrate in normal saline 30 seconds
3. 10% formalin 10 seconds
4. tap water 6-10 dips
5. Gill 3 hematoxylin 6-8 dips
6. tap water 6-10 dips
7. 95% alcohol 6 dips
8. Cyto quick stain 6-8 dips (combined ea and og)
9. 95 alcohol 3-6 dips
10. 100% alcohol 6 dips
11. 100% alcohol 6 dips
12. xylene dip till clear
13. xylene dip and coverslip

The number of dips is an average, you will need to play with your smears and
how thick they are made to fine tune the number of dips. We also run this
slide thru our regular pap stain when we stain the rest of the slides.

Hello all,

Can any one give info on, or procedure, or staining product for rapid
resulting
for CT FNA Bx's, to determine the adequacy of the specimen.

Thanks in advance.
