Sharon-
We purchase our modified Davidson's from Rowley Biochemical Institute. They
list the ingredients as:
Formaldehyde (37-40%) 11%
Ethanol 14.25%
Methanol 0.75%
(Here I would just substitute denatured EtOH 15%)
Glacial Acetic Acid 5%
Water 69%
Hope this helps.
Joe

Subject: Modified Davidson's
Hi,
I was wondering where I can find a procedure for Modified
Davidson's fixative. I have the method for Davidson's fixative,
but I can't find the modified procedure. Any help would be most
appreciated.
Thanks,
Sharon
