We are a 304 bed hospital providing acute - care medical and health services to our community.  This hospital is located in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan.  We are centrally located between Detroit, Ann Arbor  and Birmingham.  Within 30 minutes of Casinos, Home of the Red Wings, Windsor, Ontario, and the additional cultural experiences of Birmingham and Ann Arbor.

The Histotech duties would include: embedding, cutting, coverslipping, staining, accessioning,  special stains,  regular maintenance of Histology equipment and some Cytology work.  Immuno experience would be great!  We have a Leica Autostainer.  Associates Degree in Histotechnology and completion of accredited Histologic technique training program required.  HT registered or eligible.  

The Histology Aid  assists the histotechnologists, cytotechnologist and pathologists in preparing specimens for examination.  Performs accessioning, therefore comfort with computerization required.  Minimum high school diploma required.  Science background and previous histology experience preferred.
