Roger,

We purchased the same model coverslipper in 1993 and have the same problem.
 We haven't used the machine for about 3 years because it's faster to do
the job by hand.  We've had different repairmen try to fix it, but it never
did improve.  We even bought a new probe and that didn't seem to help.
It's just collecting dust on the counter.  We've tried every suggestion
that was given to us.
