Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is one of the
hospitals that has had equipment stolen.  We lost an embedding center (old
Tissue Tek), two microtomes (Leitz), and various reagents (alcohols and
xylenes).  This happened a couple of months ago.  

No one saw the person, but this person had to have known the layout of our
lab and where we keep things.

I am aware of three other hospitals in the area that have had thefts.  I
would be interested in hearing from everyone in this area that has had
anything stolen in the last several months.  And, as Phillip said - just a
warning to others - Beware!!  Lock up your labs at night!
