Marilyn,
We discard blocks by placing them in red biohazard bags in hard fiber boxes and they are picked up by our Environmental Health and Safety Officers for disposal. The blocks are treated as a biohazard....and are disposed as in the same manner as our tissues. I'm not sure what the regulations are where you are but your environmental health and safety department should be able to guide you. If you have any questions that I can help you with by all means feel free to e-mail me directly.

We are about to dispose of blocks for the first time. The only identifying=20
marks are the numbers/year. What is the procedure for disposing of blocks.
are they considered biohazard? We need to know if there is a correct way of
disposing of years worth of blocks.
Thank you,
Marilyn
