Cheryl,
I've never done one on an air-dried FNA, but what you might try, if the
material is available in your lab, is doing an MGP on an air-dried section
of frozen tonsil. As an added measure of quality control, it might be worth
doing a Diff-Quik stain on it first as well.
Not the most perfect solution, but it's about the best I can come up with.
